Biblical Counseling
The Biblical Counseling ministry exists to personally disciple God’s people under the oversight of God’s church, dependent on the authority and sufficiency of God’s Word through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Counseling at FBC
Biblical counseling seeks to reorient disordered thoughts, desires, affections, behaviors, and worship toward a God-designed anthropology in an effort to restore people to a right fellowship with God and others. Biblical Counseling promotes growth in Christlikeness through repentance from sin achieved through:
Putting off of sinful works of the flesh, being renewed in the mind with the Word of God, and putting on of God-honoring patterns of living (Eph 4:22-24).
Identifying idols of the heart that are exalted and worshiped above Jesus Christ.
Teaching of the Gospel that gives a biblical understanding of God, Sin, Christ, and Man.
Instruction of theology which corrects errant views of God, and exposes sin in a believer's heart.

Premarital Counseling
We offer premarital counseling for couples seeking marriage who are members of FBC Weymouth. If you are interested, please fill out the linked file and turn it in to the church office.
Training in Biblical Counseling
We are an ACBC Certified Training Center, which means that our biblical counseling training counts toward requirements in the ACBC certification process. If you are interested in training, please email FBC Weymouth for dates when the next Fundamentals Training Course will be offered.
