Women’s Ministry

FBC Women’s ministry exist to give God glory by leading women to embrace their identity in Jesus Christ and enjoy satisfaction in him.

We are committed to studying the Word, prayer, and serving others.

Here are a few ways we do this:

Deaconesses

The Deaconesses are womens’s ministry leaders that are committed to meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the church body.We do this through fellowships, baby showers, potlucks, meals, cards, counseling, women’s bible study and various ladies retreats.

Titus 2 Ministry

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” Titus 2:3-5 (ESV)

Purpose: The purpose of the FBC Titus 2 Ministry is to support the discipleship ministry of the church by helping women establish covenant relationships with godly women who will encourage and equip them to live for God’s glory.

Goals:

  • For women to be equipped to apply the principles of biblical womanhood to all of life.
  • For women to be equipped to spiritually mother other women and to show and tell the next generation the biblical principles of womanhood.
  • For some women to become Titus 2 group leaders.
  • For all participants to be strengthened in their love for and service to the church.

We currently have five Titus 2 groups in the South Shore that meet once a month. For more info on how to join a group please contact amandayjones@comcast.net
