The pastors and elders at First Baptist Church are committed to taking care of the flock that our Chief Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ, has entrusted to us. We are mindful of the Holy Spirit’s command, spoken through the apostle Paul, in Acts 20:28: “Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”

In an effort to care for each individual person and family at First Baptist, we have placed each of our members into a Flock Group. Each Flock Group is assigned an elder and a few deacons who assist him, for the purpose of providing pastoral care on a more personal level. The elder and deacons pray for the members of their Flock Group, visit them when hospitalized or upon request, schedule biannual Flock Group fellowships, and provide spiritual encouragement and accountability.
